Player Profiles 2011-12

Lindsey 'The Bird' Bain - Chairwoman who never says no to a pint or two. Great support striker - known to get a goal or two of her own or if not claim them. A real NORTHERN BIRD but we southerners know how to make her laugh! ;)!

Karen ‘oompa-loompa’ Murdoch - Strong left winger with an eye for goal and lethal from 1 yard. Highest goal scorer in team every season (gets lots of tap-ins). Gobby good time girl - now jetting around the world!

Jenny 'Sardine' Harris - Our Team Captain. A force to be reckoned with both on and off the field of play. Still running - but not always in the right direction and sometimes for miles and miles! She  likes to hide people...sorry likes to hide with people!

Jane 'Mrs Dip' D'Ippolito – Our Club Captain. A fearless defender, good at stopping shots on the line, and very good at celebrating stopping them.  Leading our fight for existence!

Carrina 'Pinhead' Pinney - Left Midfielder, who can talk, and shout, an awful lot and motivate the team so logically in charge of tea stuff ! Knows no boundaries and says it as it is!

Caff 'the DEMONSTRATOR' Woods - Awesome defender turned goalkeeper - used to have the hardest hit on the team, and known to score but now makes her mark at the other end of the pitch. She hits the bud as hard as she hit's the ball. In charge of when we play and who we play as fixtures secretary. Likes to play with masks!

Helena 'Blush' Schofield -  Fearless midfielder, often leaves the pitch red-faced and like she's been on a battlefield. Hope to see her back on the pitch this season!

Micaela 'Boney' Moroney - Another top defender, who's been out for some time, but hoping that will change this year in our fight back to Division 1.

Rachel ‘Simples - the ACTIVATOR' Alcock - Defender who reads the game well (if she's wearing her glasses!). Has a tendency to get lost on pitch & shout 'Watchit!' - but we're not always sure what we should watch! Needs to learn to jump higher (MUCH!) and watch out in the tackles - she's been known to break a few bones......her own and on other teams!

Wendy 'PaTRICK’ Haslam - Top striker, can run rings around most of us (as long as she has the ball at her stick, she's rubbish at running otherwise!). Likes to delegate and has been known to go it alone! Hopes to challenge Karen for top goal scorer again this year. If not – will claim the assists!

Jood 'Scuba Duba' Tetlow - Versatile player, but really likes to play on the wing, bags of energy and fun. Our own Tigger - but likes to go to unknown depths. And our first aid specialist who is hoping she’s not called on again, and again, and again.... this year!

Di 'Kit-kat' Graham - Attacking defender who still has the best tackle! Has been known to go ‘walkabout’ on pitch. Seems to have bags of money - but she is our treasurer! 

Alison 'Phillip' Woodwards - Another fit and committed midfielder – when she can get to play! Forever buzzing around and always an asset in attack and defence! Has a fetish for cubes.

Kirstie 'Rose' Pearson - A tour specialist who like our captain likes to run a long way! Will we or won't we see her on pitch before tour this year? Kirstie...you promised.....

Jude 'Hot-Tub Queen' Pemberton - Vet who talks to animals if you let her but don’t ask her to empty her pockets though you might not like what you find! Enjoys a very quiet drink with a friend or two!

Steph 'T-bag' Young  - A welcome addition to the squad last year. Likes to attack but also good at the back! Likes to 'talk' to the Umpire. Nickname may be disputed -but there are too many to choose from.  Outrageous!?! Our vice captain this year and enjoying the power!

Martha 'Junior' Haslam -  the name rings a bell but Martha is our youngest recruit and running rings around most of the squad - including Mum!

Rachel 'Aerial' Cameron - A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Mary 'Mouse' Lilliman -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but again I'm open to bribes.

Naomi 'Lady' Brock -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Corrie '2Rs' Wheeler -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Connie '2Ns' Garvey -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Linsey 'Butter Feet' Belford -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Pauline 'Woody' Woodthorpe  -  A welcome new addition for 2011-12 - too soon to say too much....but I'm open to bribes.

Amy 'Marge' Owen - Good to see Amy back with Olney this year. A young attacker who is fitter and faster than ever before.

Harriet 'Giggles' Ewing – Left sided defender or midfielder  who's been with us for a couple of years now but one of the regulars. A tour virgin last year -  and still talks to us! Married to Willy Wonka - the lucky lady!

Katie 'Jedward' Barber – One of our juniors. Fits in well in attack and midfield. Gaining confidence by the game; proper peng! We will be sorry to lose her to college when she goes!

Vanessa 'Tango' Wilson - Another of our juniors who looks good on either Wing. Has a wicked hit and developing the pace of a GTi! Again we will be sorry to lose her to college when she goes!

Serena 'I don't believe it' Von der Heyde -  Central Midfielder, extremely fit and committed player (when she's in the country and when she’s not skiing or running!). It will be good to see her on the pitch as much as she can this year!

 Pete – our coach – works us hard and keeps us fit (at least that's what we tell him!).
